Residencies

Movement artists are invited to apply to use the MACS facilities in a range of residencies, including: for the creation of new works; for the development of original work already in-progress; for research and development to enrich and inform professional practice; for rehearsals; and for other purposes consistent with MACS’ mission. Residency durations range from two weeks to ten months, with most extending for the equivalent of one month. Successful applicants pay an individually negotiated user fee to work in the MACS facility.

Project Development

Funds to support project development and production through consultation with specialists are available to artists. Applicants should indicate in their proposal whether they are applying for project development and production support in conjunction with their residency, or as a stand-alone proposal. Recipients of project development and production support without a residency pay a negotiated user fee to use the MACS facilities, if relevant to the proposed work.
