MACS incubates new works, which includes wholly original choreographic works, re-working of prior works, devised solo and ensemble works, outside commissions, new projects in either traditional or novel movement vernaculars, and projects designed to share, instruct, advance artistic and technical experience.
Programs
MACS partners with and hosts mid-career and emerging professional movement artists who specialize in distinct but related arts vernaculars—dance, circus arts, physical theater—to promote creative synergy, and energize the artist’s vision.
Commitments
Equity and access in the arts are crucial for thriving communities. MACS collaborates equitably with professional emerging and mid-career movement artists of all races, ethnicities, abilities, genders, classes, cultures, sexual orientations, and ages.
